No markup: every AI model at its provider's list price

Varosity now charges each model's provider list price with nothing added: Kling 3.0 at $0.168/s, Veo 3.1 Lite at $0.05/s. Plans from $12/month, free daily credits.

As of October 19, 2026, every model on Varosity costs the list price of the provider we run it on — fal, Replicate, Google, OpenAI and others — with nothing added (two exceptions are explained below). That holds on Varosity credits and on your own provider keys. A 5-second Kling 3.0 clip is 84¢ here and 84¢ on fal. A 4-second Veo 3.1 Lite clip is 20¢.

We used to add 10% to the price of every generation paid with credits. That's gone. This post explains what changed, what you pay now, and how we make money.

What you pay now

Here are your options. You can mix them.

OptionPriceCreditsExpire?
Free$010 a dayYes, daily
Basic$12/month1,200 a monthYes, monthly
Pro$29/month3,500 a monthYes, monthly
Creator$125/month17,000 a monthYes, monthly
Top-upfrom $5100 per $1Never

One credit is one cent. Pro gives you about 21% more credits than it costs, and Creator about 36% more. Paying yearly saves up to 20% (about 17% on Basic, 20% on Pro and Creator): Basic $120, Pro $276, Creator $1,200 a year, still granted month by month.

Plan credits are spent first, then any top-up balance. Top-ups never expire, so you can skip a plan entirely and pay as you go. You can still bring your own provider keys for any model and pay the provider directly — Varosity adds nothing either way.

What things cost

Video is billed per second actually produced. If a model only makes 4, 6 or 8-second clips and you ask for 5, you pay for the clip you get. Failed renders are never billed. Images and audio round up to the next whole cent, so a sub-cent image costs 1¢. OpenAI bills its image models by tokens, so each OpenAI image is charged what OpenAI billed for it, never more than the price shown up front. The exceptions: fal bills Wan Animate by frames, so we charge a fixed $0.16 per second; and MuAPI publishes no price for its Wan effects model, so its $0.06 per second can't be checked against a list. The pricing page has the details.

ModelPer secondTypical clip
Veo 3.1 Lite$0.054 s = 20¢

Veo 3.1 Fast$0.154 s = 60¢

The live price of all 62 available models is on the pricing page and in routing.json, which agents can read directly.

How we make money

Plans. Monthly credits that reset at the end of the month are how most AI tools work, and it's what keeps the lights on here. If we get volume discounts from providers, we keep the difference rather than adding a surcharge.

Pay-as-you-go is at cost on purpose. Trying a model shouldn't carry a premium.

Why we changed it

Varosity is built for agents — Claude, Cursor, custom pipelines — that pick a video model for each job. An agent comparing prices sees our number and the provider's number side by side. If ours is higher, it's a reason to integrate the provider directly instead. At the same price, the reasons to use Varosity are the ones that matter: one API and one MCP server for every model, one bill, per-agent daily caps, and retired models handled for you.

Getting started

  • People: sign up and verify your email; without a plan you get 10 free credits a day. Pick a plan on the pricing page when you need more.
  • Agents: point your agent at varosity.ai/connect. It connects itself; you approve once and set a daily cap.
  • Already a customer: nothing to do. Your existing credits keep working and now go about 9% further.
